No. 49 · Picking Up a Leaf
The verse
Pick up a fallen leaf and see its veins;
ordinary things hide poems too.
What it means
Inspiration often hides in small everyday places. Today suits observing your surroundings in a relaxed way and jotting down ideas as they come, without judging them yet; just give them somewhere to land.
Something to do today
- Jot down any idea that comes to you today, wherever you are.
Sanwen’s 60 fortune sticks are original modern verses written for this site, not a traditional temple set.
